It’s about being true to ourselves, from our personal likes and dislikes to our deeper values and beliefs. Maybe you thrive in group workouts with friends, as I do, but I also sometimes love to run solo listening to my music. I’ve always loved blending movement into my life—whether it’s running, tennis, or even a spontaneous workout when travelling. My health journey is mine to tailor, and it’s in this uniqueness that I find joy.

What works for one person may not work for another, and that’s the beauty of embracing our individuality. It’s important to remember that food is only one part of the equation. Our health is deeply influenced by our primary foods—those non-food sources of nourishment that keep us thriving. These include our relationships, career, physical activity, and spirituality. These primary foods nourish our soul, and if they’re out of balance, even the healthiest diet won’t make up for it.

Being true to yourself means honouring your lifestyle preferences too. Do you feel invigorated by adventure and travel? Or perhaps you find joy in stillness, with time spent in nature or through mindful meditation. By embracing our personal tastes and interests, we allow ourselves to thrive.

When I travel with my loved ones, I try to blend exploration with healthy habits—whether it’s playing tennis and running along the beach in Portugal or immersing ourselves in the vibrant Medina in Marrakesh, taking in the sights and sounds and trying the local cuisine. Travel is my fuel, and finding the balance between adventure and wellbeing keeps me grounded. What’s your fuel? Maybe it’s art, music, or family time. Whatever it is, let it fill your cup.
